These two overview charts show some of the more common reef fish found at Red Sea Diving Safari’s various dive sites, particularly the house reefs of Marsa Shagra, Marsa Nakari and Wadi Lahami.

The overview boards were created for this special occasion: In September, a large group of Dutch guests celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary in Marsa Shagra. Each guest received a laminated species card to help them identify fish in the water.

“The species cards were a great success, definitely very useful and they were used a lot,” summarises Sarah O’Gorman, Marketing Manager of Red Sea Diving Safari.

Since 2005, Marine Biology Workshops has documented a total of 277 fish species from 62 families during dives and reef surveys on the beautiful reefs along the southern Egyptian coast of the Red Sea. Fishbase (10/2017) lists a total of 490 reef-associated fish species for Egypt.
