On the 13th and 14th of April the “Tierwelt” exhibition took place in Magdeburg. New products, trends and tips for pets were presented at the fair. Of course our GREEN CORALS stand was there, too.

However, we were the only ones in the aquarium section with our corals and fish – alongside dogs, cats, horses, birds and more. …. Our dynamic GREEN CORALS team had once again prepared a varied programme for the visitors, including a tombola, microscopy and much more.
Over the two days, the Magdeburg TIERWELT attracted more than 7,500 guests.

Discover the world of tiny marine creatures under the stereomicroscope!

We had our stereo microscopes with us, which was particularly exciting for the younger guests: the tiny sea creatures, but also insects as dry specimens, could be observed very closely under a magnifying glass and stereomicroscope, magnified from 5 to 40 times. From algae to mini starfish, there were plenty things to discover.

Our corals and fish visit Magdeburg

Our corals and fish were ready for a new home. We had dottybacks, gobies and clown fish with us. And of course a colourful selection of our corals.

Experience marine life up close!

Interested children could also touch a brittle star or a hermit crab. As a small souvenir, they were given a postcard of a marine animal, such as a dolphin, turtle, clownfish or giant moray.
The aim is to break down fears of contact and to meet an unknown creature with interest.
In this way, children can develop respect for living creatures and our natural environment from an early age.

Since 2016, we have been part of the ‘TIERWELT’ exhibition to introduce guests to the fascinating world of coral reefs and oceans.

It takes a bit of courage to pick up the brittle starfish with its 5 long spiny arms…

Our stand with photo articles, information material and a raffle with lots of prizes.

Our self-designed photo articles, exciting marine literature and materials for our marine biology workshops and reef check courses were also a must. Our new reef fish and coral magnets were particularly popular.
There were only winners in our prize draw. If you were lucky you could even win a canvas.
