This year we were once again represented at the Fisch & Reptil with a stand and a colourful programme.

Our most beautiful corals travelled with us from 1 to 3 December from Braunschweig to Ulm, including some rarities at fair prices. All our own offspring, bred with 100% renewable energy, Trojan-free and optimally adapted to aquarium conditions. Some of our captive bred fish have also found a new home. Of course, our snails, algae and mangroves were not to be missed.

There was a lot for visitors to discover at our booth. For example, they could look at corals, marine animals and algae from a different perspective through a microscope. The children especially enjoyed this.

We had also prepared an underwater quiz with great prizes, aimed to raise awareness of the threat to coral reefs.
The programme was completed with a presentation of our marine biology workshops and Reef Check courses.

Our fairy tale adventure began at 4.00am, with corals, fish, makro algae and mangroves carefully packed for our journey. We left on time at 6.00am. Sandra drove us from Braunschweig to Ulm, braving the freezing temperatures outside. The journey took a full 8 hours, but we kept us awake with lively conversation and anticipation of the fair.

We finally reached our destination at around 2pm and immediately started setting up our booth.

The installation in fast motion.

Greetings from Stephan, the show tank is almost ready

Our stand also featured live microscopy. Participants received a postcard or piece of coral skeleton to take home.

Looking through a microscope is a great experience for children and adults alike, and seeing marine animals up close inspires interest and respect for nature.

Fish and Coral

Sale of aquacultured corals (approx. 90 species)

All our own cultured coral, grown under 100% renewable energy, aiptasia-free and perfectly adapted to aquarium conditions. We also had fish offspring from Braunschweig with us (8 species): Amphiprion ocellaris, A. percula, Pseudochromis fridmani, P. aldabraensis, Pterapogon kauderni, Assessor flavissimus, Elacatinus figaro, E. oceanops.  A short description of the fish with the most important information about the species was included with the purchase. We also had snails NZ (2 species) and algae & mangroves (about 6 species).

There were great prizes to be won in our quiz :  vouchers for corals or marine themed merchandise such as photo canvas, coasters, rulers, postcards, mugs, cushions & magnets and brand new: our GREEN CORALS calendar 2024. Also the new Red Sea Dive Sticker Set, for which Stephan Moldzio provided scientific advice to our partner DIVE STICKER in 2023 and also contributed many photos. The raffle took place on Saturday and Sunday at 17:00. The questions about the underwater world could be answered directly at the stand. The questions were not easy, but they were educational. We were very pleased with the great feedback – and especially that several people answered all the questions correctly! We wish the proud winners lots of fun!
