Entacmaea

The bubble anemone has a wide distribution area and is “inhabited” in nature as a symbiotic anemone by a variety of anemonefish. However, most anemonefish offspring grow up without an anemone at first. Therefore, it may take a few weeks or even months for them to “accept” an anemone.
Sooner or later, however, every anemonefish will go into an anemone. Porcelain crabs Neopetrolithes and various small shrimps also accept them as symbiotic partners.
With some supplemental feeding, Entacmaea will divide from time to time. They can also be easily fragmented with a sharp knife – in this case, divide the mouth opening as closely as possible.
One of the most common concerns is whether the anemone will migrate and entangle other, valuable corals on its tour of the tank, possibly ending up in a pump…. To prevent this, you need to know what an anemone actually needs to feel really comfortable, so that it just settles on a certain place and stays there:
First, it wants its foot to be safe in a protected spot, such as a small cave. Then, of course, it needs sufficient light, because it also has symbiotic zooxanthellae and feeds partly on them. Finally, it prefers a place where it gets its share of the daily feeding of the fish.
In our experience, once an anemone has found such a place, it will stay there permanently.

Zoanthus

Zoanthus sp.

The small crustose anemones of the genus Zoanthus come in a wide variety of color combinations, often given the wildest fashion names. They fluoresce very strongly and the colors stand out most under blue light or blue-heavy light.
Crustose anemones basically contain the toxin palytoxin. The genus Zoanthus, however, in apparently very low concentrations, so that – unlike certain gray-green representatives of the genus Palythoa – no case of poisoning has yet become known.
